    I miss you,

    and the feelings

    along with my memories of you

    of my bittersweet dreams.

  4. One Last Breath

    It’s been awhile since I have had the chance to just sit down and write, so I hope you enjoy!

    There she sits,

    Weeping,

    Crying out in hopes that someone will hear her.

    Screams,

    Blood curdling in hopes that someone will save her;

    From her thoughts, 

    From her dreams.

    Is anyone even listening?

    Does anyone even care?

    Would you rather her drown,

    in a life of regret

    From the Past?

    Fast forwarding to the future,

    can she change

    as she dives in to the coldness?

    The river of sorrows keeps pulling her down

    deeper, faster,

    Until she finds her last breath.

    Falling further away from this cold world, 

    suddenly

    she’s free.

    As she starts rising above the waters

    she feels a sense of

    happiness.

    A feeling she has lacked

    for days,

    months,

    years.

    Finally,

    she’s free

    to be herself,

    to care.

    To be the person she was once destined to be,

    the person that no one had faith in.

    From the sorrow,

    to the hate,

    to the carelessness.

    All hope was gone,

    only to be returned with;

    One. Last. Breath.

  9. Book Review: Iris and the Dragonflies

    Almost everyone in their lifetime has the dream that they can communicate with animals, be able to communicate with those who have passed on, or even been able to tell how someone is by the color of their aura, and in Iris and the Dragonflies, Rosemary Danielis brings those dreams to life.

        Iris, is an 11 year old girl, with very special abilities, abilities that eventually bring her face to face with danger.  Through the triumphs of saving Dragonfly Creek, the one person that helped Iris out the most through her campaign, turns out to be the exact opposite of what he came across as.  Through the dangers that she finds herself in, her special abilities allow her friends to come to her rescue as later on they are all found to be closer than they could of ever imagined.

       It has been done before, the battle verses good and evil, but Rosemary Danielis has brought this novel to life!  As I read through this, I could very vividly see each and every detail of what I was reading.  It was almost as if I was watching this novel play out as a movie in my imagination.

       While this is listed as a Middle School Novel, I will say that as a young adult, I was thoroughly entertained and did not want to put this down. I am a mother to four young children and at the end of the night, I looked forward to unwinding and getting lost in what was going to happen next, I wanted to be there experiencing everything that Iris was experiencing.

      If you want to get lost in the world of imagination, I would highly recommend that you get lost in Iris and the Dragonflies.
